Last year, IFA’s signature mix of innovation, expertise and entertainment drew 240,000 visitors from over 100 countries. Let’s look back at some of the highlights Bosch Home Appliances presented in 2016.
The future of home life
Cutting-edge technology for perfect results, peace of mind and personal style: That’s our philosophy for life at home. At IFA 2017, we showed five inspiring worlds of fascinating products – from customisable refrigerators to smart assistants and digital helpers.
When your robot vacuum gives you perfect results in corners, when your home takes care of itself, when a digital kitchen elf is on hand while you cook...that's Simply Smart! Here's a brief video tour of this world.
Highlights of IFA 2016
At home with connectivity
Visitors experienced how Home Connect, Bosch Smart Home and a slew of notable corporate partners make it even easier to get things done – from anywhere and at any time.
Intuitive interfaces ensure that connected appliances spark joy and are easy to use. Principal designer Robert Sachon explains: “At Bosch, we create our own imagery and animation to guide the customer as reliably as possible to the perfect result.”
Fresh air is a breeze
The open-plan kitchen trend keeps going strong, so minimizing noise and cooking smells is key. We introduced beautiful, super-quiet extractor hoods with cutting-edge sensors that detect odour intensity, as well as sleek induction cooktops with built-in extractor fans that really clear the air.
“In the case of extractor hoods, we are moving further and further away from their character as a tool,” Robert Sachon remarks. “What counts is the overall visual impression – from the expressive, elegant shapes to the sophisticated light design.”
Savvy, sensible sensors
Bosch Home Appliances also demonstrated how sensor technology simplifies every aspect of home life – from cooking and baking (such as PerfectAir and PerfectBake) to high-performance vacuuming (such as SensorBagless Technology) and worry-free laundry care (iDOS).
